Lead Quality Control Technician

Your Impact:
In this role, you'll be the go-to leader on the production floor, spending 85% of your time in action, supporting your team, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Lead from the Floor: Partner closely with the Department Supervisor to support personnel, equipment, and shift operations for maximum efficiency
Drive Performance: Monitor and achieve KPIs across safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service
Champion Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Inspect & Validate: Perform routine inspections of semi-finished and finished products, identifying defects and ensuring specifications are met
Analyze & Improve: Track trends, conduct root cause analysis, apply SPC methods, and recommend process improvements
Report & Communicate: Document test results, prepare reports, and clearly communicate quality issues and solutions across teams and shifts
Audit & Ensure Standards: Audit the production floor, verify adherence to procedures, correct issues, and escalate when needed
Support Scheduling: Help coordinate schedules and resources to ensure production goals are met seamlessly
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with multiple departments to solve problems and improve communication flow
Prepare for Success: Assist with third-party audits and maintain accurate documentation
Support Lean Initiatives: Actively contribute to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement efforts
What You Will Bring:
At least one (1) year of related quality control experience working in a fast-paced work environment
High School Diploma or GED
Understanding of and ability to apply statistical process control (SPC), analytic skills, root cause analysis, repeat and reliability methodologies.
Demonstrated leadership skills
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, and spreadsheets in MS Word and MS Excel
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience using Quality Management System, SAP
Associates or Bachelor's degree
Prior training experience
Previous experience in a Lead role
