Quality Technician [2nd shift, Mon-Fri, with $2.50/hr shift differential!]

Monday-Friday | 2nd shift | 3:00pm-11:30pm$26.50 per hour [$24.00 base rate + $2.50/hr shift differential]

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of wire, cable and/or assemblies as well as mechanical testing to ensure product conformance to customer requirementsReview orders and shop travelers with customer purchase orders to ensure compliance to customer's requirementsPerform process and product audits on the production floor to ensure compliance with procedures and specificationsGather samples for metallographyPrint and review finished product labelsAssist in the raw material/incoming rod receiving process by performing inspections and tests of material as specifiedInput data and prepare Certificates of Conformance of products for shippingReport test results, provide documentation of nonconforming conditions, file test results, certifications, and any additional data collection requiredReport directly to the Quality Supervisor while providing support, consultation, and input to the Shift SupervisorPerform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Position Requirements

High school graduate or equivalentComputer literate including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with D365 preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand blue prints, specifications and inspection instructionsAbility to follow written instructionsAbility to work overtime when required
