Job DetailsJob Location: CNHHS - Tahlequah, OK 74464Position Type: Full TimeThe Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for ensuring that clinical care meets established standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role evaluates patient records, monitors care delivery processes, and collaborates with clinical teams to improve outcomes. The QA Nurse plays a key role in identifying gaps, implementing corrective actions, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Review patient charts, documentation, and clinical workflows to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct audits, quality reviews, and performance assessments to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and care outcomes.

Provide education and coaching to clinical staff on best practices, documentation standards, and quality protocols.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address deficiencies and support corrective action plans.

Track and report quality metrics, audit findings, and compliance outcomes to leadership.

Assist with accreditation preparation and ongoing regulatory readiness activities.

Participate in incident reviews, root cause analyses, and riskreduction strategies.

Maintain uptodate knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and quality improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience; quality or compliance experience preferred.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical documentation requirements.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff.

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and quality reporting tools.
