Our client, a leading organization in global trade and compliance, is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to join their team. As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will be part of the Trade Compliance Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst
Location: Spring, TX on site
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

What's the Job?

  • Accurately assign and maintain global tariff codes (HS/HTS/HTSUS) and export control codes (Schedule B, ECCN) across the company's product catalog.
  • Ensure compliant classification for all import/export declarations, minimizing duty risks and clearance delays.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, procurement, and logistics teams to gather product information such as composition, performance, and specifications.
  • Support trade operations by working with customs brokers on import/export filings, valuation, and country of origin determination.
  • Conduct internal audits, resolve discrepancies, and support external or government audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelors degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 35+ years of hands-on customs classification experience in import/export environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HS/HTSUS, WCO General Rules of Interpretation, Schedule B, and ECCN (EAR).
  • Experience working with customs brokers and trade compliance systems.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills for audit readiness.
