Overall Purpose:
Perform in-house testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of manufactured sub-assemblies and finished systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, assemblies, and final products completed by manufacturing
- Assist in developing improvements, testing, and evaluation of new equipment
- Provide accurate feedback on current design performance
- Test assemblies and final systems, interpret results, and document findings on malfunctions
- Support Manufacturing and Engineering by translating technical equipment issues and solutions
- Follow company policies, department standards, and quality control procedures
- Perform rework and repair on assemblies
Requirements/Skills:
- Strong electronics background with knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, DSP technology, microprocessors, and D/A control devices
- Proficient with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, meggers, and signal generators
- Soldering skills required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical terminology into layman's terms
