Overview:
Veeco is looking for a collaborative Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer who will be based at our customer site in Westboro, MA, to drive quality improvement and risk mitigation initiatives with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners. Strong communication skills enabled by a data-driven and collaborative skill set will be critical to success in this role as you'll strive to enable Veeco's suppliers to meet the challenging requirements of Veeco and its customers more effectively. If you are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment where data-based decision-making is valued and preventive risk mitigation and driving root cause corrective actions are critical, then this role could be for you.

Responsibilities:
Enable cost down and part quality improvement initiatives in partnership with supply chain and engineering.
Participate in cross-functional supplier management teams focused on selecting and improving suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Create supplier quality improvement plans, perform supplier audits, implement closed-loop corrective actions, and generate quality metrics and reports.
Work with suppliers to execute product quality plans (PQP) on critical parts and validate/audit their effectiveness (process flows, pFMEA's, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, etc.)
