Job Summary: Supports and Sustain Quality interests for all manufacturing processes.
Required Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 equivalent, with Quality Assurance certificate and/or minimum of 3 year related work experience.
- Basic knowledge of computer software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Quality conscious and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Blue Print reading.
- Strong communicator in the English language
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience
- Strong knowledge of technical specialities and process requirements
Essential Functions:
- Perform all inspections required for assigned areas, including capability studies for prototype and PPAP parts.
- Perform in process/first off/last-off inspection of product and inform the quality lead of any discrepancies for defective product found in the manufacturing of defective parts at Hydroform Solutions.
- Identify Material (Ok for Use / Return to Vendor) appropriately
- Ensure that all inspection Data Sheets(IDS) are filled out properly.
- Validate incoming material to Certification and or Print specifications through use of measurement tools (caliper, Shadowgraph, fixtures, etc.)
- Performing First/Last off inspections and approving samples before full production run, through the use of variable and attribute gauging
- To assist in monitoring and inspecting received, in-process, and finished products to ensure only quality parts are shipped to the customer
- Complete all required documentation: in process inspection sheets, first off/ last off tagging, non-conformance (NCR)
- Perform dock audit as required
- Responsible to maintain the integrity and cleanness of the quality gauges on the shop floor and quality laboratory
- Perform sorting/ containment activities as required
- Troubleshooting and actively participating in our corrective and preventive action program, and ensuring implemented Quality measures are maintained by all personnel.
- Participate and provide inputs to the continuous improvement program to enhance the quality of the products or processes
- Effectively communicate with Suppliers, Operators and other quality personnel in order to meet and maintain quality standards, containment, PPAP submissions, Non-conforming Material, Quality Alerts, etc.
- Issue tooling repair orders as required to effect improvements in products.

Report indirectly to the Quality Engineers and directly to the Quality Manager

Perform two quality inspections per shift on area of responsibility assigned
Physical Demands:
- Job requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- Must be able to work with push/pull forces of up to 50lbs

- Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
