Experience reviewing construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, materials, workmanship, installation requirements, and construction methods
Experience preparing construction surveillance reports
Experience reviewing contract plans and specifications
Experience supporting change order documentation and construction modifications
Experience coordinating inspection requirements and control methods
Experience with at least one of the following specialized areas:
Medical gases, NFPA 99
Life safety code, NFPA 101
National Electrical Code, NFPA 70
Plumbing, IPC
Fire protection systems, NFPA 13 and NFPA 72
HVAC/TAB, ASHRAE, AABC, or NEBB
Building commissioning
Communications and security systems, including IT, nurse call/code blue, imaging, IDS/PACS, or ICD 705
Biomedical engineering equipment, including CT, PET, CATH, MRI, or related systems
Transport and equipment systems, including patient lifts, elevators, transport systems, pneumatic tube systems, food service equipment, sterilizers, mortuary systems, or laboratory equipment
Dredging
Welding inspection
Painting and metalizing inspection
Environmental HAZWOPER, site sampling, 40-hour HTRW course, and current 8-hour refresher
Airfield paving and concrete

Job Responsibilities Perform surveillance of construction projects
Deliver construction findings to government personnel
Prepare surveillance reports for all phases of construction
Review construction work for compliance with plans and specifications
Monitor workmanship, materials, installation methods, and construction methods
Review contract plans and specifications related to all phases of construction
Recommend necessary construction changes to government personnel
Provide surveillance at construction sites
Assist with resolving apparent differences between field conditions, contract documents, and project requirements
Review quality assurance programs related to assigned projects
Discuss changed conditions and provide technical recommendations
Support investigations related to the need for change orders
Prepare data to support construction change orders
Develop detailed inspection requirements and control methods in coordination with government personnel
Draft change orders and contract modifications for review and signature
