Sr. IT Business/Quality Analyst
Summary
Our client is seeking a Sr. IT Business/Quality Analyst to deliver IT solutions aligned with their business needs and ensure quality and timeliness. The Sr. BA/QA will lead complex projects with multiple analysts and stakeholders including conducting requirements sessions, organizing rollout activities, and providing training/support. This Sr. BA/QA will serve as the primary IT contact for business units, providing solutions and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executives and other analysts to identify enterprise-wide solutions, adhering to SDLC and best practices.
- Conduct an impact analysis of technology changes and provide recommendations.
- Lead business process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and developers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Build and maintain workflows, process maps, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain compliance with IT standards, security policies, and best practices.
- Coordinate project plans and resource assignments; advise on deviations.
- Manage end-to-end requirements lifecycle, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and impact across business areas is considered.
- Lead elicitation, documentation, analysis, and translation of business requirements.
- Recommend tools, processes, and software solutions; ensure the integrity of requirements.
- Participate in vendor and user group activities to enhance solutions.
- Support QA, user acceptance testing, and release activities; write SQL queries regularly.
- Regularly tackle complex tasks requiring specialized skills and judgment.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues and recommend viable improvements.
- Provide guidance to Development staff and junior analysts; mentor junior and mid-level analysts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in IT/business analysis or related roles.
- Experience working as a Lead Analyst on multiple large-scale projects (1500+ hours).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- Solid understanding of business applications, HTML, SQL, data modeling, interface design, and system integration.
- Experience with SQL, programming, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Experience mentoring staff, facilitating cross-functional teams, and guiding project execution.
Preferred
- Training in ITIL, COBIT, and Agile.
