Growing food manufacturer in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team! Some highlights/responsibilities include: Develop and deliver performance reviews to department staff Prepare Facility for Regulatory Audits Oversee the operations of the documentation systems in support of the Quality Management System Prepare Customer and 3 rd Party Audits Create/review/update SOP's as needed. Manage Positive Release review on all products before releasing into Commerce Administer the Hold and Release Process for Raw Materials and Finished Products Manage the creation and/or updating of Certificates of Analysis Assist in performing Mock Recalls Audit production batch records and production records for completeness and accuracy Make recommendations for batch approval or rejection based on the review of batch related results on a per lot basis Work closely with departments in developing and obtaining necessary information for use in preparation of production batch documents Participate in Team Meetings and other initiatives as requested Coordinate communication between various departments as necessary to ensure completion and closure of production batch records Coordinate with appropriate personnel for creation and/or updating of Product Specifications Develop and maintain various quality related programs including but not limited to sanitation, Allergen (i.e. GFCO - Gluten Free Certification Organization), HACCP, IPM, microbiological testing, weight control, product recall, and self-audits. Responsible for the maintenance and control of all required documentation for company compliance Provide services to support and maintain Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Assist in destruction of obsolete documents Proficient in MS Word and Excel Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresSafety & Quality per CFI expectations Teamwork with all departments & staff Red Zone support & accuracy Following direction Problem solving in timely manners EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: At least 3+ years of documentation organization/handling experience in manufacturing or similar industry, GMP, Allergen, and HACCP Experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe and/or similar document applications. Should be familiar with all internal office systems and applications, documentation storage and Retrieval systems, archival of documents, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and dimensional calculations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to organize and maintain order, in the highest degree, of documents and their respective content and revisions Familiarity with PC based computer systems. Possess the ability to navigate within a windows environment. MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel (Intermediate Level), Power Point, Outlook etc.) strongly preferred.
