Job Description
Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer will design and implement quality control process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. Provide oversight and drive improvement of sampling, qualification, and lot procedures.
Reporting Relationships:
The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilize Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA)
Assist with the verification and resolution of non-conforming products
Assist with development of PFMEA, Gage R&R, and other Zero-Defect projects
Work on record retention, proper identification, and record storage
Gain an understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing methods, finishes, quality requirements, and assembly requirements
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
Maintain and improve the effectiveness of the quality system, supporting root cause analysis of process and product problems, and integration of SPC and sampling techniques.
Provide customer/vendor and management interface on quality, processes and reliability problems.
Enable oversight of quality systems by providing management with regular performance reports on key systems, including cost of quality, internal audit system, and contract review. Turn data into information by identifying issues and trends.
Perform quality planning for new product implementations to proactively identify and eliminate potential problems.
Manage the supplier quality system and perform supplier audits.
Make recommendations and implement new inspection equipment and techniques.
Take active role in writing and implementing corrective actions.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of Quality Systems.
Strong statistical background.
Preferred Qualifications
ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQA, CSSGB, or CSSBB.
Experience with Nadcap special processes-Heat Treat
Experience in machining and aerospace assembly environments
Required Experience and Education
B.S. in Engineering with Quality related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Systems
B.S. in Engineering with Quality related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Systems

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $82,000 to $92,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter
. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
