Continuous Improvement Engineer (Temporary)
Compensation: Up to $65/hour
Employment Type: Temporary (open-ended until permanent hire is identified)
Overview:
Seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support a manufacturing environment by driving operational efficiencies and process improvements. This role focuses on applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Apply Lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, and PDCA
Conduct root cause analysis, FMEA, and problem-solving to address operational challenges
Analyze data using Excel or similar tools to track performance and drive decisions
Partner cross-functionally to improve workflows, reduce waste, and increase output
Support projects that improve safety, quality standards, and overall plant performance
Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation and best practices
Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or process improvement roles
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel; Minitab a plus)
Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with all levels
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience with ERP or MES systems
Familiarity with SAP or similar systems
Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
