Quality Inspector

Our client in Boise, Idaho is currently hiring for a Quality Inspector . This position is a fully onsite opportunity at a customer facility in Boise, Idaho and includes approximately 10% travel . The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that welded components, fabricated vessels, piping systems, and assemblies meet industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with applicable AWS, ASME, customer, and internal quality standards

Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR)

Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, and internal vessel components for quality and conformance

Perform inhouse inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies prior to shipment or installation

Inspect PVDF and PP welds used in highpurity piping systems for semiconductor applications

Inspect PVC piping, bonded assemblies, and internal PVC vessel components

Verify installation quality and fitup of internal vessel assemblies per engineering drawings

Perform inspections upon equipment arrival following shipment

Verify equipment condition and placement after contractor handling and installation

Prepare clear and detailed inspection reports, including photos and supporting documentation

Maintain accurate inspection, weld activity, and fabrication records

Ensure all documentation meets customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements

Work directly with customersite quality teams to support quality alignment

Provide guidance to welders and fabrication personnel on quality expectations

Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to align inspection activities with project schedules

Qualification Requirements

35 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment performing quality inspections

Handson inspection experience with PVDF and PP highpurity piping systems

Experience inspecting PVC piping and bonded assemblies

Experience inspecting MEP systems on active job sites

Current welding certificate

Strong knowledge of weld inspection practices and AWS standards

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication documents

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Disqualifiers

No handson weld inspection experience

No experience with highpurity piping systems

No welding certification

Limited exposure to fabrication or industrial inspection environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.00/hr.
