At Dunbar Doods, Inc., the job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

QUALITY ASSURANCE RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Calculate and enter all supply, inventory, and usage by batch number for each product and code produced daily and complete monthly checks verification of ingredients on hand.
Perform inventory checks on chemicals used onsite and update binders and SDS accordingly.
Complete required trainings in Food Safety, Quality field, certifications, and thermal processing.
Assist with internal audits against the SQF Code and report findings to QA manager.
Assist QA Manager in reviewing daily production reports and develop new logs throughout the season as needed.
Collaborate in verifying ingredient information during mock recalls. Digitize production records and other documentation as requested.
Assist QA Manager with log of revised documents according to company Document Control Procedure at office setting.
Assist with the complaint handling process and complaint log as needed. Assist the QA Manager with necessary tasks for USDA contracts as needed.
Maintain calibration and logs of production equipment, and assist with off season equipment calibration.
Work with QC Specialist on pre-op swabs required by sanitation and environmental monitoring programs while in production and create results log.
Perform daily plant walkarounds year round, report issues, and complete inspection logs.
During production season, work with QC Specialist and technicians on monitoring processes on the floor. Charting and records completeness.
Assist in necessary tasks for audit readiness, internal audits, USDA, SQF and other programs at office setting.
Create and maintain a graded product log at office setting. Assist the QA Manager with pulling sample requests as needed.
Create and maintain hold log at office setting. File and archive all production records at the end of each season .
Responsible for learning all processes of QA/QC checks made by QC Specialist during production (including can tear downs) and checks done on the floor by QC technicians.Report any unsafe machinery or acts in areas of the plant.
Verify accurate Hold product amounts and physical count and verification of amounts on Hold paperwork..
Ensuring that the proper identification tags and information are placed on the HOLD pallets.
Work with QC Specialist on Hold process verification paperwork at the end of each season.
Work at the end of each season on Release process of product on Hold. Flexible with assisting on other tasks as requested by management.
Review of incoming paperwork for ingredients and packaging. Assist with label approvals.
Perform pest control checks on internal traps, trend results and report these to QA Manager.
Perform weekly checks on Eye wash stations and showers.
Building production package folders for the complete season, with all forms needed for daily checks, and assist with overall readiness for packing season

Training In the absence of the QA Assistant, the QA Manager is responsible for completing these duties.
Minimum Requirements
Adhering to work hours as required by this position, including shift flexibility. Following company rules, policies and procedures, and safety measures. Performing other duties as requested by supervisor or management.
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma/GED (required), Associate's degree a plus (not required). Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions and stand long periods of time at production floor.
Legible handwriting, good math & communication skills, must be able to learn Dunbar product coding system within reasonable length of time.
Must be able to use Microsoft Office basics proficiently, ERP systems a plus (ERP not required).
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bilingual in English and Spanish a plus, dependability - responds to management direction and completes tasks on time .
Forklift driving experience a plus (not required)
