Salary : $150-170K/year + 18% bonus Job Description Grace is seeking a Quality Manager to join our Lake Charles, Louisiana team. In this role, you will report to the Technical Manager and provide quality leadership for the Refining Catalyst business. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, including safety, QA/QC programs, laboratory hourly and salaried personnel, the site LIMS system, and ensuring lab instrument reliability, accuracy, and qualification. This role also maintains oversight of product specifications and ensures the laboratory operates in compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities Oversees the site Quality Management System (QMS), including ISO 9001:2015 compliance and execution of internal and external audits. Supports the establishment, deployment, and achievement of site quality objectives. Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Quality Management System Drives analytical method development, validation, and improvement projects. Oversees the implementation of new laboratory technologies, analytical methods, inter- and intra-laboratory correlation studies, standardized processes, and adoption of best practices from other sites. Manages the product release process including lot creation, waiver management, and disposition/control of nonconforming materials. Supports the Certificate of Analysis (COA) generation and approval process. Executes Management of Change (MOC) activities, ensuring operational, product or raw material changes do not adversely impact quality. Collaborates with plant personnel to ensure customer complaints and internal product or process nonconformances are investigated, addressed, and resolved in a timely manner. Required Qualifications B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. 10+ years' experience in quality, operations, or laboratory supervision in chemical plants. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead a team and drive improvement initiatives. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Experience with XRF and XRD analysis. Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
