Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect constructed drilled shafts and associated testing procedures for compliance with contract specifications
- Develop a working knowledge of the quality control program, standards, procedures, and applicable codes
- Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work
- Maintain accurate inspection records, work performance records, and related documentation
- Assist with preparation and implementation of quality control procedures, including inspection instructions and measuring/testing equipment controls
- Coordinate quality control inspection schedules with other departments
- Participate in internal and external quality control audits
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Five (5) or more years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision, or management supporting large public works projects
- Previous experience inspecting drilled shafts on heavy civil or transit projects
- Active certification for drilled shaft inspection (preferred)
- Bachelors degree in engineering, geology, construction management, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge and experience interpreting contract specifications related to quality control and/or quality assurance (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (preferred)
