Title Test Technician Description

The scope of the job is to be responsible for test lab equipment (work instruction, maintenance schedule, running tests), preparing parts for testing, conducting the tests, reporting test results and communicating the results (Excel, PowerPoint, email, verbal). In some instance testing may need to be conducted at external locations, so this position would be responsible for oversight of that testing.

Prepare samples for testing including cutting samples on band saw and other various hand tools
Setup Tests, which include test fixtures, controls, and data acquisition
Create test procedures / work instructions
Perform various tests using in-house facilities
As needed, coordinate testing with external test labs
Manage multiple tests concurrently
Interface with Plant Quality and Engineering team members
Document test results using Microsoft Office applications & TIR system
Adhere to all Inteva safety requirements
Coordinate the shipment of equipment for external calibration and review calibration reports.
Coordinate and supervise calibration service providers during their activities within the laboratory.
Maintain an up-to-date calibration database.
Coordinate and supervise contractor services for the maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Communicate testing status to the laboratory manager.
Attend and accredit courses, group sessions, and other activities that are part of the training process.
Ensure compliance with the plans and activities of all quality systems specified by the company (e.g., IATF16949, ISO/IEC17025, etc.), as applicable.

Position Requirements

English Advanced
1 - 3 years testing experience
Experience / background in automotive interiors testing
Experience with tensile machines
Experience with Shop tools including band saw
Experience with environmental chambers
MS Office application proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook; especially focused on Excel

Education Requirement Associates degree or equivalent experience in Validation, and/or Engineering.
