Research, implement and maintain state-of-the-art unit testing algorithms and strategies to develop and maintain technology solutions. Use theoretical expertise and innovation to develop testing strategies for several core kernel algorithmic areas such as numerical solvers, convex optimization, linear algebra, discrete mathematics and computational geometry. Assist technical support by answering specific questions when required. File, verify and close bugs found during testing. Gather, implement and evaluate test cases from academia and industry in order to resolve problems. Conduct logical analyses of engineering, mathematical and other technical problems, including evaluating correctness and the performance of built-in Wolfram Language numerical algorithms. Assist developers with code review during development. Collaborate with developers to ensure proper testing procedures are followed at all steps of the development cycle. Develop and maintain quality assurance tools for unit testing. Develop and maintain tools to verify Wolfram Language documentation example quality. Manage up to 3 other QA team members, including Junior Test Engineers, Software Developers in Test, and Web Quality Assurance Engineers. Train new QA team members. Assist with several Wolfram Language release-related tasks such as generating reports on new features, performing cherry-picks and reviewing blockers. May work from home 2 days a week. Employer requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study. Education or experience must include the following skills: 1) writing libraries and tools to improve test maintainability, scalability, and reporting, by using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and git to write and organize automated tests; 2) professional experience with build systems, including TeamCity and Jenkins to run regular automated tasks and test jobs and CI/CD pipelines; 3) utilizing data structures, algorithms, and core software engineering principles; 4) providing mentorship and technical guidance to individuals in software engineering and programming disciplines; 5) working collaboratively in programming teams to deliver projects within tight deadline parameters; 6) hands-on experience with JavaScript and HTML; 7) using scripting languages, including bash and Perl; and 8) utilizing Wolfram Language and Wolfram|Alpha to assist in solving mathematical problems, including calculus.
