Quality Assurance Specialist (Shipbldg)

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBLDG) . For the GS-07 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting with maintaining the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related areas.

For the GS-05 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting the quality of products or services in one of the following areas: quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production or other related area.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-07 Grade Level:

• successful completion of one full year of graduate level education with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR-
• successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR-
• a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

For the GS-05 Grade Level:

• successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR-
• a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
