Quality Control Auditor Location: In-Office - Los Angeles, CA Schedule: Full-Time; Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm Department: Production Reports To: Director of Production Compensation: $21.00-$24.00 an hour (D.O.E) Position Summary The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for inspecting imported production once it arrives at the domestic office. This role ensures all garments meet company quality standards, technical specifications, and customer requirements before bulk is approved for release. The auditor serves as the final checkpoint between overseas factory production and the brand, documenting issues, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring only first-quality goods move forward. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming production shipments from overseas factories for compliance with approved SMS, PP, and TOP samples. Audit garments for construction, fabric quality, fit, wash, trim, labeling, and overall workmanship. Compare incoming bulk production against approved standards and comments. Identify defects, shade variations, or inconsistencies (wash, hem, fit, stitching, etc.). Prepare detailed QC reports documenting findings and non-conformance issues. Communicate results to Production, Technical Design, and Sourcing teams to determine next steps. Approve, hold, or reject shipments based on quality results. Coordinate with overseas vendors through Production to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Track recurring issues by vendor/factory to support vendor performance evaluations. Maintain QC records for compliance, accountability, and future reference. Note: The role may require occasional support for projects or tasks outside the scope of primary responsibilities. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in quality control, garment inspection, or apparel production (domestic or import). Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, fabrics, washes, and finishing. Ability to detect workmanship flaws and evaluate product consistency against standards. Experience reviewing bulk against TOP or PP samples. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially excel) and production/QC tracking systems.
