Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Development Quality Lead to join their team. As a Development Quality Lead, you will be part of the Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team supporting vehicle development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Development Quality Lead
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan
What's the Job?
- Ensure all project quality targets are met during development phases for multiple vehicles.
- Manage the delivery of APQP-PPAP processes and documentation to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Identify and control risks, implement actions to prevent issue recurrence, and manage quality convergence paths.
- Coordinate effective communication between project teams, engineering, manufacturing, and partners to facilitate project success.
- Define actions and deliverables for project milestones, assess results, and monitor KPIs to ensure timely delivery.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of Quality and Lean methodologies, APQP, and PPAP processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and familiarity with TeamCenter CAD; statistical control knowledge is a plus.
