Position Summary

MS Companies is seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Supervisor 1 to lead and support inspection teams within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining strong customer relationships, and leveraging MS Companies' technology-driven systems to drive performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of quality inspectors to ensure performance, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to support safety and efficiency

Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and client-specific requirements

Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions and quality processes

Monitor production processes, control points, equipment, and personnel to ensure quality standards are achieved

Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvements, and support cost reduction initiatives

Communicate expectations clearly; monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching

Address employee relations matters including attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns in partnership with HR

Train, mentor, and develop team members to support operational success and career growth

Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and service excellence

Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet production demands and customer requirements

Accurately enter and manage time, production data, and other required inputs within company systems

Physical Requirements

Must be able to visually identify defects in color, shape, size, or texture of parts

Must be able to hear and differentiate sounds in a manufacturing environment

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday for extended periods on concrete floors (up to 10-12 hours)

Must be able to move within buildings and operational areas, including ascending and descending stairs

Must be able to reach, turn, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance to prevent falls

Must be able to reach overhead and perform repetitive movements

Must be able to lift, carry, transfer, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.

Must be able to grasp with both hands and perform fine motor tasks requiring coordination and repetitive motion

Good hand-eye coordination for inspection and material handling

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures

Qualifications

2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Experience with quality systems, reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives

Proficiency with digital systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms) preferred

Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead teams effectively

Strong customer service and relationship management skills

Flexibility to work any shift based on business needs
