We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Suffield team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality for precision-manufactured components in a highly regulated environment.
You ll bring strong technical inspection skills, the ability to interpret complex drawings and tolerances, and experience working in industries where quality standards are non-negotiable (aerospace, medical, or similar). This role also serves as a key partner to production-helping identify issues, support root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
What You ll Do Perform detailed inspections on precision metal components with tight tolerances
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
Utilize precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gages
Program and operate CMM equipment (e.g., Micro-Vu, Wenzel or similar systems)
Document inspection results and ensure compliance with quality standards
Partner with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed
As a Group Lead, you'll also:
Function as a working lead, balancing job responsibilities with team coordination
Lead/support daily production execution and workflow coordination
Acts as a primary escalation point for quality issues
Operate with high ownership of process performance (no formal people management authority)
What We re Looking For 5-10 years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment
Experience inspecting metal components with tight tolerances
Background in aerospace, medical device, or other regulated industries (ISO 13485 or similar)
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
Hands-on experience with: Calipers, micrometers, and precision gaging
CMM operation (Micro-Vu, Wenzel, or similar)
Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions
Prior experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred
