Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Intern for our Burlington, WA location. Primary recruitment is for one school quarter. The position can be extended beyond one quarter based on student availability. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and loves a team environment.
Hourly Wage: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following activities:
Assist with nonconforming material evaluations and corrective actions
Manufacturing process improvement and cost/benefit analysis. Participation in continuous improvement events
Reviewing manufacturing planning to drawings/models. Specification reviews for effect on parts or processes
Writing and helping to execute First Article Inspection reports
CATIA V5 and/or Enovia exposure (CAD systems). Technical writing and presentation.
Qualifications:
Applicants must show a stable work history, preferably in manufacturing and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or post-graduate in a Mechanical, Composites, Business, or Engineering degree program (B.S. or B.A.)
Computer proficiency required with experience in MS Office and CAD modeling preferred
Candidate must be able to demonstrate good organizational and communication skills
Successful applicant will need to fill out Hexcel application and pass a drug-screening test
