Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established automotive manufacturing facility in Berne, IN to hire a Quality Lab Lead for a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift .
This position is ideal for someone with automotive quality experience who enjoys working hands-on with inspection, quality systems, and continuous improvement while also leading and mentoring a small team.
If you have experience with IATF 16949, PPAP, SPC, and root cause analysis , this is a great opportunity to grow your leadership career in a stable manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations of a 6-person Quality Control Lab team
• Perform root cause analysis, Gemba investigations, and non-conformance reviews
• Support PPAP submissions and customer quality requirements
• Conduct internal audits in compliance with IATF 16949 standards
• Maintain control plans, check sheets, and quality documentation
• Prepare customer-facing quality reports and corrective action documentation
• Communicate with customers regarding quality issues (occasional travel required)
• Manage team scheduling, training plans, and timekeeping
• Promote continuous improvement and quality compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Technology, Metrology, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of automotive manufacturing or quality experience
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, SPC, PFMEA, and MSA
• Experience with quality audits and corrective actions
• Leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Proficiency with Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint, and quality documentation
