The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer(Plating) to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) will analyze and discuss qualityconcerns with assigned manufacturing departments.

The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Quality Engineer(Plating) include, but are not limited to:

Identify, prioritize, and address all significant and repetitious qualityproblemsInitiate and verify the effectiveness of formal corrective actionsMaintain thorough knowledge of ISO-9001, AS-9100, and Amphenol's qualitymanual, and subordinate proceduresEnforce quality policiesMaintain working knowledge of products and associated processesConduct quality audits when appropriate and when assignedDevelop and maintain constructive professional relationships with employeesand customersTake prudent actions to achieve continuous improvement in reducing cost ofnon-quality and customer returnsInvestigate and disposition customer returns involving product from area ofresponsibility

Sidney, NY30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary: $62,354 - $85,000

The key skills and qualities of a Manufacturing Quality Engineer (Plating) atAmphenol Aerospace Operations:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineeringKnowledge of statistical methods, and computer fluencyStrong interpersonal skills and written/verbal communicationApplicable experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferredWork extensively with Amphenol's computer systems, the AS400 mainframe andthe local PC networkProficiency with Microsoft Office and Data4 softwareAbility to freely travel throughout a manufacturing floor environmentSome lifting and carrying of small loads may be requiredAbility to work in a fast paced environment
