The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring products meet strict dimensional, mechanical and performance requirements by evaluating parts against established acceptance criteria. Quality inspectors work closely with setup technicians and quality engineers providing critical feedback to help resolve issues quickly and improve product quality.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties
- Measure and accurately record data obtained during the final inspection process to ensure
conformance to customer drawing specifications.
- Use a variety of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, vision measurement systems, load-measuring equipment, custom gauges and other precision instruments.
- Create and submit detailed quality documentation that accompanies product shipments such as Dimensional Reports, Certificates of Compliance, Material Certifications, First Article Inspection Reports and/or other paperwork that provides critical part information.
- Prioritize work to complete daily responsibilities and use sound judgment to ensure parts meet all customer specifications as well as Motion Dynamics internal quality standards.
- Communicate findings to production teams, supervisors and/or quality engineers.
- Complete other tasks assigned to support departmental or cross-functional team goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual).
