What This Role Is
As a Quality Assurance Technician , the primary function of this position is to assemble and inspect all product samples to ensure the product is up to manufacturer standards. The Quality Assurance Technician is also responsible for inspecting products for potential safety hazards, finish imperfections, and assembly difficulty. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Merchandising department at CITY Furniture.

Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Onsite - Tamarac Corporate Office/Distribution Center
Department/Sub-Department: Merchandising/ Quality Assurance
Pay rate: Starting at $17.50
What You'll Do*
As a Quality Assurance Technician, your primary responsibilities will be:
Product Assembly - Assemble product following the instruction sheet provided by the vendor, utilizing proper material handling and equipment usage techniques to minimize damages
Product Wrapping - Wrap assembled product in bags and shrink-wrap utilizing proper material handling techniques to minimize damages
Quality Inspections - Inspect product for potential safety hazards, finish imperfections, and assembly difficulty
Additional duties and responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Technician:
Product Movement - Move product throughout the work station utilizing proper product handling techniques and equipment usage to minimize damages
Dimension Logging - Take weight and dimensions for all product inside the packaging, outside the packaging once fully assembled, and multi-unit configurations
Distribution Center Assistance - Assist in other departments within the Distribution Center
Adhere to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed, beyond those listed in the responsibilities. Changing business conditions may trigger changes to job responsibilities (i.e., COVID-19).
