Quality Technician Pay $20 an hour raise after 4 months Shift: 6pm - 630am 2-2-3 schedule Location: Lakeland, FL Job Description The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all products manufactured in the facility consistently meet strict safety, regulatory, and customer standards. You will perform routine and specialized testing, closely monitor production activities, and maintain precise documentation to support a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing process in a fast-paced beverage production environment. Responsibilities . Conduct chemical, physical, and visual inspections to determine material acceptability and compliance with specifications. Complete audits of packaged products to evaluate final quality, packaging appearance, and container integrity. Carry out laboratory sampling at scheduled intervals to validate production performance and ensure all materials remain in compliance. Report all outofspecification findings to appropriate leadership personnel immediately and support timely corrective actions. Maintain clear, accurate, and legible records for all tests, followup tests, inspections, and audits performed. Complete qualityrelated documentation such as work orders, action logs, and other required forms in accordance with established deadlines. Support calibration and proper operation of laboratory equipment to ensure reliable and repeatable test results. Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and auditready at all times. Participate in special assignments or projects as directed by quality leadership. Provide testing support to qualify ingredient batches before release for use in production. Essential Skills Demonstrated ability to follow safety rules, GMP practices, and PPE requirements in a manufacturing environment. Quality assurance experience in testing raw materials, inprocess batches, finished goods, packaging components, and treated water. Skill in performing chemical, physical, and visual inspections to determine material acceptability. Ability to conduct audits of packaged products, including evaluation of packaging appearance and container integrity. Experience verifying process controls through torque checks, secure seal testing, seam evaluations, and similar assessments. Strong technical accuracy and attention to detail in documenting tests, inspections, and audit results thoroughly and correctly. Ability to maintain clear, accurate, and legible quality records, work orders, action logs, and other documentation within required timeframes. Competence in supporting calibration and proper use of laboratory equipment to ensure reliable and repeatable results. High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of qualityrelated experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ethical standards and integrity in all qualityrelated activities and decisions. Adaptability to frequent changes in production or testing requirements. Strong communication skills to clearly convey findings to both operators and management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with quality documentation systems such as SAP or similar platforms to verify material and product specifications. Familiarity with food safety and quality standards governed by SQF, FDA, and local regulatory authorities. Ability to work effectively in a fastmoving production environment with multiple mechanical processes. Comfort working variable schedules that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Capability to keep laboratory and work areas clean, organized, and ready for internal or external audits. Work Environment This role is based in a fastmoving beverage production facility in Lakeland, FL, operating on a 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. shift with a 223 schedule, which may include weekdays, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime depending on operational needs. The environment includes multiple mechanical processes and elevated noise levels, requiring the use of hearing protection and other PPE such as protective eyewear, hair and beard coverings, approved footwear, gloves, and safety restraints when using powered equipment. Temperature conditions may vary between hot and cold depending on the work area, while the laboratory operates in a controlled climate. Work is performed in a structured and closely monitored setting that emphasizes safety, compliance, and consistent quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
