The Test Engineer creates/implements test procedures, programs, fixtures thatverify that a product operates as designed and provides technical expertise intesting and product knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities:
Defines, refines, and maintains processes, methods, and plans for testingproductsTroubleshoots and debugs electrical circuits to determine the root cause fortest station and product issuesConducts product testing (with technician assistance), documents results andproduct issues, and drives issues to closure with design teamEnsures that test plans can be easily developed and maintainedEnsures proper documentation of test plans, specifications, and diagramsEnsures that all product needing testing meets established quality andfunctional requirementsSeeks and evaluates components for use in testing Borisch products, andensures that the best components are used based on company goals by makingrecommendations related to selection of core components or suppliersInterfaces with customer engineers on design and functional test issuesWork with the Test Technicians to develop and maintain a positive,pro-active work environment that is focused on improving Borisch's TestAcceptance and throughput.Experience with Flying Probe or In Circuit Test DevelopmentExperience with test software developmentLead as a test development resource of a project teamAny other task assigned by supervisor

Engineering & Design: Knowledge of practical applications of engineering andtechnology, able to apply principles, techniques, and procedures tomanufacturing processes, knowledge of design techniques and principles involvedin manufacturing
Production & Processing: Knowledge of production processes, quality control,costs, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency within manufacturing.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Able to determine root causes of operatingerrors and decide what to do about them, able to use logic and reason toidentify complex problems and develop solutions, able to predict how changes inoperations and process flow will affect manufacturing efficiencies and qualityof finished product.
Training: Able to maintain training to applicable work instructions assignedper training codes
