Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group company, is hiring an Aircraft Fuel Systems Inspector to support aircraft maintenance and quality control operations in Wilmington, Ohio. This role places experienced aviation inspection professionals at the center of aircraft maintenance quality assurance, ensuring all fuel system maintenance and repair work meets strict regulatory and safety standards.
The Aircraft Fuel Systems Inspector works within the Quality Control department and plays a critical role in verifying airworthiness, conducting inspections, and supporting maintenance teams throughout the aircraft repair and maintenance process. Candidates must be highly detail oriented, knowledgeable in aviation regulations, and capable of working in fast paced maintenance environments.
Position Overview
The Aircraft Fuel Systems Inspector supports aircraft maintenance operations by performing detailed inspections throughout the maintenance process. This role ensures all work performed on aircraft fuel systems complies with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices.
Inspectors work closely with production supervisors, maintenance personnel, and quality leadership to maintain the highest standards of safety, documentation, and operational compliance.

Location: Wilmington, Ohio
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with production supervisory personnel to determine daily inspection priorities
Perform receiving inspections on incoming parts and components as authorized by the Director of Quality
Conduct incoming, preliminary, in process, and final aircraft inspections
Perform in process audits and internal audits as required
Initiate Suspect Unapproved Parts reports when necessary
Initiate Service Difficulty Reports as required
Provide and document On the Job Training (OJT) for inspection personnel and maintenance technicians when required
Ensure shift turnover reports clearly communicate all relevant operational information and are completed and filed daily
Maintain accurate inspection documentation and operational records
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Quality
Work Environment
Work performed in and around aircraft undergoing maintenance or alteration
Hangar and ramp work environment
Fast paced and potentially high stress operational environment
Some travel may be required
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma required
Some college coursework preferred
Must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65
Minimum of 4 years aviation inspection experience
Must be familiar with applicable aviation regulations and inspection procedures
Must be proficient with inspection methods, techniques, tools, and equipment used in aviation maintenance inspections
Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write English
