CUI Telecommunications is seeking a detail-oriented and field-driven Quality Control Technician to ensure installation, construction, and fulfillment work meets company standards, client specifications, and industry compliance requirements.
This role plays a critical part in protecting CUI’s reputation for operational excellence by auditing field work, coaching technicians, identifying performance gaps, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently upheld.
The ideal candidate has experience in cable/fiber telecommunications, understands MSO standards (Comcast/Cox preferred), and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct field audits on residential, MDU, and commercial installations
Inspect aerial and underground drops for quality, safety, and compliance
Verify signal levels, bonding/grounding, and proper installation standards
Ensure work aligns with MSO specifications and CUI quality benchmarks
Complete quality scorecards and submit detailed reporting daily
Identify trends in workmanship and partner with leadership on corrective action
Provide real-time coaching and mentoring to technicians in the field
Document safety violations and escalate concerns when necessary
Support new market launches with startup quality oversight
Partner with Operations Managers and Supervisors to improve retention through technician development
3+ years of telecommunications installation or construction experience
Strong understanding of coax, fiber, and HFC systems
Experience auditing cable installations (Comcast or Cox preferred)
Knowledge of signal testing equipment and meters
Ability to read prints, maps, and system design documents
Strong written documentation and reporting skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned market
Previous experience in a QC, Field Supervisor, or Lead Technician role
Experience supporting fiber deployments (FTTH/FTTP)
Familiarity with MSO compliance scorecards and quality metrics
OSHA safety knowledge
