GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to perform visual inspection of cable/ harness assemblies to include but not limited to soldered connections, label content, and lengths.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform visual/mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies and assemblies (in-process, final and shipping), as specified by Inspection Instructions and/or Engineering Documentation
Perform, witness and/or audit testing (in-process and final) of components, cables, electronic subassemblies and assemblies, as specified by Engineering Documentation
Review/audit test data results against Test Procedure, Engineering Documentation and/or Customer requirements and assures compliance
Prepare and complete all necessary documentation (records) for reporting acceptance/rejection of items inspected and/or tested
Prepare reports documenting results of special inspections, tests and problems; documenting trends on performance (visual, mechanical and functional)
Identify basic areas of nonconformance to provide data to Quality and Engineering
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required
REQUIREMENTS:
Three or more years related experience required
Ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, electronic test and other measuring equipment
Ability to read mechanical, electronic drawings and blueprints
Must be detail oriented to keep accurate records and files
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of MS Office
