Job Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the site Quality function with a strong focus on customer satisfaction,

quality culture, people leadership, and continuous improvement. This role oversees quality engineering, CAPA,

supplier quality, internal audits, risk management, and quality systems improvements. The Quality Manager sets

team priorities aligned with business strategy, leads problem-solving initiatives, and partners crossfunctionally to

support operational excellence and product quality.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Management & Operational Excellence

Own and continuously improve the site Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure it supports business objectives and

operational excellence.

Ensure effective management of nonconformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and root cause analysis.

Establish and monitor key quality metrics and KPIs, using data to drive actions and improvements.

Lead internal and external audits (customer, supplier, and thirdparty), ensuring readiness and effective followup.

Support design transfer, validations, and new product development

Customer Management & Satisfaction

Serve as the primary quality interface for customers, building strong, professional relationships.

Lead customer issue resolution, ensuring timely response, effective containment, root cause analysis, and sustainable

corrective actions.

Proactively analyze customer feedback, complaints, and performance trends to prevent recurrence and improve

satisfaction.

Represent Quality in customer meetings, audits, and business reviews.

Continuous Improvement Leadership

Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) across the site using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problemsolving

methodologies.

Lead and support Kaizen events, process improvement initiatives, and crossfunctional problemsolving teams.

Integrate CI tools (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, value stream mapping, SPC) into daily management and decisionmaking.

Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability, reduce variation, eliminate waste, and improve

throughput and quality.

Supplier & CrossFunctional Collaboration

Collaborate with Supply Chain and Purchasing to improve supplier quality performance and capability.

Drive supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement where needed.

People Leadership & Quality Culture

Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team, including performance management, capability building, and succession

planning.

Create a strong quality mindset and ownership culture across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other

functions.

Act as a trusted business partner to functional leaders, influencing behaviors and decisions through data, collaboration,

and accountability.

Promote engagement, accountability, and continuous learning within the Quality organization

All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors Degree (engineering or technical preferred) from an ABET accredited program

6-10 years quality assurance-related experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience working in an ISO09000 manufacturing environment or equivalent.

Demonstrated intermediate problem solving skills Root Cause Analysis / Problem Solving Methods (8-D, PDCA, DMAIC)

Demonstrated advanced problem solving and training skills (Certified 6S Master Black Belt or equivalent)

Demonstrated knowledge of advanced Lean principles and methods (Certified Lean/6-Sig, Value Stream Mapping, RIE, Status Display)

Demonstrated basic understand and training in at least three of the following areas:

Probability and Statistics

Industrial statistics (Cpk, MSA, SPC)

QA Tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)

Design of Experiments

Able to read, understand and interpret technical drawings / documentation from three and ability to create technical drawings /

documentation in at least one of the following disciplines:

Pneumatics

Data acquisition / Gauging

Mechanical Design

Electronics and sensors

Chemical formula preparation

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of Injection Molding equipment and processes

Working knowledge of machined part equipment and processes

Working knowledge of advanced Lean principles and methods (Value Stream Mapping, RIE, Status Display, 6S, Continuous Flow)

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt

Certified quality engineer / Certified manager of quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)

Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Mixed environment (office, lab and manufacturing). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. To
