Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Control Technician, where you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of quality on the production floor. You will conduct QC testing, perform line audits, and work closely with production personnel to maintain product excellence. Responsibilities

  • Perform QC testing on the production floor, including metal detection checks, leak tests, and percentage tests.
  • Conduct line audits every hour on each production line, including first piece, in-process, and final inspections/QC tests.
  • Calculate percentages of materials and total ounces for quality assessment.
  • Conduct basic testing such as moisture, salt, and fat using automated testing equipment.
  • Document daily numbers and testing performed in both paper and digital formats.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to perform QC checks and address any errors that arise.
Essential Skills
  • Understanding of quality control processes in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of food quality processes.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations using a calculator, such as percentages.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma, HSED, or GED.
  • 1+ years of food quality control experience, including HACCP.
  • Proficiency in performing percentage calculations.
Work Environment

Work in a smaller food manufacturing company that produces large volumes for major customers like CVS and Costco. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work during busy seasons. You will be cross-trained in various aspects of the quality department, with tasks ranging from lab work to other quality-related duties. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.
