Job Summary:

As the Quality Control Technician at Belt Power, LLC. you will be responsible for inspecting and testing materials, products, and equipment at different points in the manufacturing / fabrication process.

Responsibilities Includes:

  • Monitor operations to ensure that fabricators meet production standards, recommend adjustments to the production process.
  • Verify production methods are compliant with industry standards.
  • Collect information and write reports on their findings to be passed on to managers.
  • May deal with customer complaints and pass the information on to suppliers and outside sales representatives.
  • Verify that measuring and testing equipment are set up and working correctly.
  • Testing products bought from suppliers and keeping records of suppliers' performance.
  • Identifying inconsistencies and faults and find the cause
  • Setting up and managing quality control systems.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner
  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Associate degree or QC experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Physical Demands:

The Quality Control Technician may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the Quality Control Technician will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in office, shop, and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent travel, overnight, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.
