QC Lab Technician

Randstad is seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team at Voyant Beauty, a leader in the beauty and personal care industry. This is a crucial role responsible for ensuring that all products meet and exceed our customers' quality expectations and that our facility operates within strict regulatory guidelines.

Pay Rate: $23 - $24 per hour

Shift: This is a 3rd shift position, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will be required to train on the 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for several weeks before transitioning to the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical testing on bulk and finished products, including pH, viscosity, odor, color, and appearance to ensure they meet specifications.
  
  
• Prepare percent solution formulas to provide compounders with the correct specifications for coloring batches.
  
  
• Generate Certificates of Analysis (C of A) for bulk products leaving the facility.
  
  
• Issue Nonconformance Reports (NCMRs) for any non-conforming or expired raw materials, or for finished products that do not meet specifications.
  
  
• Communicate non-conformances to Customer Service, Purchasing, and the customer.
  
  
• Maintain lab standards and samples, and uphold current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMPs) .
  
  
• Participate in annual certification tests to become a "Certified Nose" and "Certified Color Vision" .
  
  
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the quality lab and manufacturing teams.
