The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 5-axis CNC machining, quality systems, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
  • Prepare for and lead internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee inspection and validation of tire molds produced via 5AXL CNC machining.
  • Review and approve quality documentation including control plans, inspection reports, and PPAP submissions.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, customer complaints) and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities for non-conforming products.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming materials and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Programming and Production to improve process capability and reduce variation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, calibration, and training.
  • Generate and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer requirements and expectations.
  • Monitor and improve turnaround time for quality-related issues and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customer concerns and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 5-axis CNC machining and mold manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience managing a quality team.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 or similar standards.
  • Proficient in GD&T, CMM inspection, and metrology tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam).
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent experience applying Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, SIPOC, FMEA, Control Charts, etc.)
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
