Quality Control Technician

Person will handle the processing, inventory control, and expediting of customer parts from beginning to end. They will report directly to the Quality Assurance manager and be responsible for the processing and expediting the Jobs. Individual will maintain a weekly open order report that is supplied directly from customers. Individual will be responsible for communicating with department leaders in expediting orders that are nearing the due date as well as any add on's or pull ins that may occur. The person will need to be extremely organized and a self-motivator. Person will need to have excellent communication skills and will communicate on a daily basis with sales personnel as well as the plant manager in order to insure product is being made to the specified print and is being delivered on time to the customer. Desired Characteristics/Experience: General qa/inspection knowledge a plus but not mandatory ( will train the right candidate ) . Some shipping and receiving knowledge a plus ( will train the right candidate ) Inventory control skills Will need to know on a daily basis what's in stock and what's needed for future orders Flexible work schedule Able to lift over 45 lbs. Able to drive a forklift Safety minded High school diploma and some formal education. Some basic manufacturing knowledge. Extremely organized ( requirement) Self-motivated ( absolute requirement) Team player ( requirement ) Some expediting knowledge ( a plus ) Scheduling knowledge (a plus) Can read blue prints Can use measuring equipment ( i.e. tape measure, calipers, mics, etc..) Computer skills ( excel , word , etc..) Good communication skills ( a must ) Able to work in a fast paced environment Excellent work history ( requirement ) Excellent attendance record.
