RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with Vertiv customers, AHJs, and manufacturing partners to confirm designs meet applicable building codes and standards.
Develop documentation, reports, and responses for certification, permitting, and agency approvals.
Coordinate schematic, detailed, and construction design phases with integration partners.
Support inspections and reviews required by AHJs during material procurement, manufacturing, and integration.
Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and external teams to prepare construction document sets.
Review modular design drawings for compliance with customer specs and applicable codes.
Provide technical support before and during construction to address AHJ inquiries.
Engage in IMS modular design projects when not assigned to compliance tasks, delivering design configurations and drawing packages for integrated systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 4 years of engineering experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes related to switchboards/switchgear
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit (AutoDesk suite)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Requirements:
Professional Engineering (PE) License
Knowledge of modular data center and power module engineering
Experience in project management
Ability to research and innovate in design and construction methods
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
May require occasional visits to integration/manufacturing sites or customer facilities
Work involves extended computer use
May involve moderate lifting or exposure to industrial environments during site visits
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
