Basic Job Description:
To ensure product quality is up to Company standards. Monitor proper food handling, GMPs and SSOPs. Perform record keeping and verification of HACCP and other production processes such as cooking temperature, cooling temperature and product weights. Work safely and maintain a safe work environment. Provide support to all aspects of the Quality department including pre-operation inspection, receiving, processing, shipping, laboratory and other functions related to product quality. QC Technician reports to QC Supervisor
Specific Responsibilities:
Perform following tasks and record the result properly in a timely manner according to assigned schedule depends on job assignment.
Perform batter viscosity test, internal temperature of each product line.
Check filling weight and internal temperature of each product line.
Check net weight, declared counts for packaged product
Calibrate metal detectors, thermometer and x-ray machine.
Inspect printed film and labeling.
Perform temperature checks of cooler, freezer and blast freezer
Check internal temperature of defrost product.
Perform operational sanitation checks throughout the plant.
Ensure products and rework meet cooling or other CCPs requirements as needed.
Perform HACCP CCPs inspection and verification accordingly.
Measure the seasoning using the most updated batch sheet
Perform wood pallet inspection and finished product inspection.
Perform pre-operational sanitation inspection throughout the plant
Perform any sanitation swab as needed.
Perform inspection on incoming material and finished products upon shipment.
Perform product, material, or machine hold as needed.
Stop the production line as needed.
Ensure GMPs and product-handling procedures are being followed.
Report any problem and/or deficiency to supervisor in a timely manner.
Perform any other task assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
Ability to write and read in English.
Make sure that the sanitizer strength is working correctly.
Repetitive adjustment of knobs on machines.
Climbing and bending, over and under equipment.
Mandatory weekends and overtime when required.
Ability to use common desktop software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and E-mail.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, necessary to provide production floor coverage.
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walk; stand, reach over shoulder, reach overhead, reach outward, bend, talk, hear and repetitive motions stoop, kneel, crouch, taste or smell and walk up and down staircase, carrying materials, product, and other necessary production or maintenance related items.
1st shift.
Start time: 5am/6am to 2pm
Rate of Pay: $20/hr.
2nd shift.
Start time: 2pm/3pm to 11pm
Rate of Pay: $20/hr.
