Job Description
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for performing quality control tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Your role will involve maintaining quality documentation, troubleshooting product and packaging issues, and collaborating with production personnel and plant management to ensure the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QC testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Maintain quality documentation, inventory control samples, and raw material COA files.
- Perform routine packaging inspections and report findings.
- Troubleshoot and address product or packaging quality concerns.
- Support rework, calibration, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and workspace.
- Provide backup coverage for night shift QC Technicians.
- Adhere to all Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESHQ) policies.
- Participate in safety and quality compliance programs, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14000.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the QC Supervisor or QC/QA Manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or production.
- Strong understanding of testing equipment and lab procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with Viscometers, FTIR, and Titration Processes.
- Ability to create and update QC forms and work instructions.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for lab equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including 12-hour shifts if needed.
