A Supplier Development Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This job drives supplier performance and technical improvements to ensure resilient, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain operations for Group Trucks Purchasing North America, while managing supplier risks and fostering collaboration across teams.

responsibilities:
- Analyze supplier capacity and evaluate supplier investment requests.
- Engage actively with suppliers and supply chain partners.
- Assess supplier weaknesses and provide actionable solutions.
- Monitor high-risk suppliers to prevent operational crises.
- Develop and implement supplier problem-solving techniques.
- Improve supplier production systems and processes to avoid company operational disruptions.
- Drive supplier operational excellence initiatives.
- Set focused priorities to achieve objectives.
- Work in compliance with Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) processes and Code of Conduct.
- Represent GTP during supplier interactions and escalate issues to prevent crises.
