As we expand our commercial lines department, we’re seeking a strong Commercial Lines Account Manager to help lay the foundation for success, support the retention of our current book, and build scalable systems for future growth.

Position Overview: This is not your typical account manager role. We’re looking for someone to take ownership of our commercial department infrastructure, quoting renewals and cross-sells, refining documentation and processes, and keeping our book organized and growing efficiently. While occasional production is welcomed (and rewarded), your primary mission is to ensure our commercial clients are well-serviced and the department is running like a well-oiled machine. This role offers hybrid or remote flexibility in place of a fully on-site schedule for licensed Texas agents located in the Texas, preferably in the San Antonio/Austin area.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and maintain our commercial book of business as the main point of contact for insureds.

· Oversee and execute renewals — quoting, remarketing, and ensuring accurate and timely coverage updates.

· Set up and improve workflows for documentation, carrier submissions, cross-sell tracking, and department procedures.

· Quote cross-sell opportunities and partner with the team to identify coverage gaps and potential enhancements.

· Ensure timely and compliant documentation in the agency management system (AMS).

· Coordinate with carriers on endorsements, claims, and underwriting needs.

· Act as the go-to expert for coverage and process questions from staff, clients, or leadership.

· Help shape our commercial department into a scalable, service-focused operation.

Qualifications:

· Active Texas Property & Casualty insurance license (required)

· 3+ years of commercial lines account management experience

· Strong knowledge of commercial coverage types (GL, BOP, WC, Cyber, Commercial Auto, etc.)

· Proven ability to independently manage accounts, stay organized, and build client trust

· Familiarity with agency management systems (experience with EZLynx a plus)

· Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in setting up or refining systems

· Comfortable working in a hybrid setting with occasional in-office meetings

Compensation & Benefits:

· Competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
