Industrial Quality Control Inspector (with Welding Experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in welding and metal fabrication . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet internal and external quality standards. This role requires hands-on inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities: Inspect welded components and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, defects, and compliance with specifications and industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME). Conduct visual, mechanical, and nondestructive testing (NDT) as needed. Verify that welding procedures and welder qualifications are current and in compliance with applicable codes and specifications. Document and report inspection findings, and work with the production team to resolve any quality issues. Monitor in-process production and perform final product inspections. Maintain calibration of inspection equipment and ensure proper recordkeeping. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. Ensure compliance with safety and quality control policies and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in welding, fabrication, or industrial quality preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a focus on welding. Familiarity with AWS, ASME, or other applicable welding codes and standards. Experience with visual inspection tools and techniques; NDT certification is a plus. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings. Basic computer skills for reporting and data entry. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or working toward certification. Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
