Quality Engineer

This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Quality Systems & Procedures. This role is focused on Quality Assurance which includes Supplier Quality. Responsibilities Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures Lead in internal and external quality audits Coordinate new launch projects with customers Ability to travel to suppliers site to review process and quality buyoff More responsibilities will be included and shared with qualified candidates Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment 3 to 5 years' of experience quality assurance within manufacturing environment Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is Six Sigma Black Belt Experience with implementing internal quality systems and scheduling audits Technical knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes such as: injection molding, extrusion, fabrication, metal roll-forming. Strong knowledge of quality standards, process and tools such as TS16949, PPAP and quality management systems (QMS) Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving Proficiency with MS Office Strong verbal and written communication skills
