Quality Control Specialist - Betco

Overview

Perform quality checks on product manufacturing, production check sheets and traveler completion. Oversee tool calibration and working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach employees on quality policies, the completion of shift production sheets and travelers.
• Perform quality inspections on product during production and upon completion.
• Maintain records of all production shift reports.
• Notify management of any shortages, quality issues or repairs needed to any inspection or production equipment.
• Operate computer software programs associated with the quality and production departments.
• Train operators on computer software programs used on the floor.
• Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed.
• Oversee scale calibrations and maintenance.
• Read calipers, micrometers and various measurement equipment.
• Keep work area clean and neat.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Must be able to read a tape measure, calipers and micrometers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
