QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN Monday - Friday, with possible Saturdays 10-12 hour shifts6:00 am - 6:00 pm$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct thorough quality assurance checks at various stages of the meat processing operations, including receiving, processing, packaging, and distribution.Perform visual inspections, sensory evaluations, and laboratory testing of meat products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and compliance documentation. Generate reports summarizing findings and recommendations for corrective actions as needed.Monitor critical control points in the production process to prevent contamination, ensure food safety, and maintain product integrity.Identify deviations from quality standards or process specifications and work collaboratively with production staff to address issues promptly and effectively.Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, testing instruments, and sensory evaluation tools to ensure accurate and reliable results.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements at all times. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or education or training in food science, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in quality control, food manufacturing, or meat processing is highly desirable.Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise and accurate measurements and evaluations.Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP regulations, and GMP standards.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
