As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in preparing and conducting internal audits, including compliance reviews, acquisition assessments, and other assigned projects
  • Ensuring business operations align with established policies, procedures, and risk management controls in accordance with IIA standards
  • Leading audits for communities, corporate functions, and compliance, as appropriate based on experience
  • Preparing comprehensive reports that outline audit findings and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Communicating audit results clearly and professionally with stakeholders and management
  • Reviewing Affordable Housing documentation to ensure compliance with applicable tax, state, and local regulations
  • Participating in the development of corporate process documentation, including process flow analysis and identification of internal controls
  • Assisting external auditors with annual audit, as assigned
  • Handling audit work involving confidential matters and participate in special projects and investigations
  • Maintaining professionalism while collaborating with employees and stakeholders
  • Engaging in ongoing training to stay current with internal audit standards
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 1-4 years in internal audit, accounting, or financial reporting (property accounting experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams); experience with Yardi Voyager is a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a friendly, professional environment and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed

Pay Range: $75,581 - 92,587 per year

This pay range is approximate and the actual pay received may vary dependent upon certain factors such as related job experience, education, training, professional/industry certifications, etc. Please note this pay range does not include any additional compensation this position may be eligible for as listed above, such as commissions or bonuses.
