Join an innovative Powertrain team at a global automotive company as an Electrical Powertrain System Controls Test Engineer. You will contribute to the development and optimization of automotive development and testing with highly collaborative teams. Responsibilities: Automotive development and testing of Powertrain Control Units. Writing hardware and software specifications. Performing confirmation testing on the actual vehicle and simulator. Troubleshooting and fixing related problems. Software functional data analysis and report generation. Working with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues. Make technical decisions with moderate supervision. Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals. Other responsibilities also include researching new technologies and market trends and making proposals for future products. Requirements: 5+ years experience with Powertrain ECU validation (Transmission, Shifter or FI-ECU preferred experience). Strong knowledge of electrical hardware and software development. Experience in the use of electronic measuring equipment and electrical troubleshooting experience. Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Proficient Vector tools: CANalyzer, CANape / ETAS: INCA. Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar. Interest in the automotive field. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required. Valid Ohio driver's license.
